Durban Botanical Gardens is now the oldest surviving botanical garden in entire Africa and also the oldest public institution in Durban. The garden covers a total area of 15 hectors, maintaining a subtropical climate. The garden was first established to participate in the quest of Kew Gardens across the globe.
